*Meeting attendance is not mandatory to participate in the club's tournaments. If you live in the Portland area, carpool opportunities, to the meetings, are available as several of our members live in the Portland metropolitan area.

Club Tournaments
- Minimum of eight tournaments per year
- All catch-and-release
- Entry fees: $15 base with a $5 big fish (optional)
- Payout to the top three finishing teams (one place paid per four paid entries)
- NO WVBC tournaments are "draw"events as many of our club members participate as husband/wife, father/son, etc. teams. Although many "teams" exist because of these relationships, there are boaters that are not paired-up and welcome a non-boater. The club will do its best to attempt to pair a non-boater with a boater for each of our tournaments.

Annual Awards
- Angler of the Year: Plaque and  free-entry to club events the following year
-Big Fish of the Year (smallmouth and largemouth) - $100 per species
